Transitioning from a different children's program...

I'm interested in a brief "how-to" from folks out there that have either successfully implemented a Kids 4 Truth Club over a different children's club, or are actively ramping up to do so.

    Yours Truly,

This isn't for everyone, but here's the 'journey' we took in transitioning from AWANA (used for 11 years):

Spring '05 - At my Pastor's request, I began researching other children's programs

Early April '05 - We (Pastoral Staff) settled on K4T as the program of choice that we would like to transition to

Mid-April '05 - At our monthly Deacon's Meeting, Pastor brought up K4T and our desire to transition. We asked for their input at this time.

End of May '05 - I announced to the AWANA workers our interest in transitioning to K4T, and asked them to check out their website (great website!). I also asked for their input (positive or negative) regarding this possible transition.

End of May '05 - At the AWANA Awards Service, I announced to the entire church our interest in transitioning to K4T, asked them to check out the website, etc.

June & July '05 - We held 2 Parent Input Meetings to present K4T and seek parental input

All Along The Way - I have communicated with key parents in the church the "nuts & bolts" of K4T and asked for their input.
