1. The first 2 digits signify the level. For example in the number
030405, the "03" represents Level 3, the Detectives (3rd-4th graders).
2. The second 2 digits signify the doctrinal theme. There are, as you know,
12 doctrinal themes to the program. In this instance the "04" is for the 4th
doctrinal theme which is "The Trinity."
3. The last 2 digits signify the curriculum unit. There are 10 curriculum
units per doctrinal theme. So, this one is the 5th curriculum unit in the theme
of the Trinity.
We use these codes to help match up the curriculum units to our lesson plans.
The lesson plans only have 4 digits, since they are not level specific.
Also, in the very near future, we plan to use these numbers as the basis for
our "web-numbers" website where boys and girls can go, punch in that specific
number, and take a quiz, engage in more learning experiences concerning that
specific curriculum unit, and enjoy more incentive (downloadable certificates
and graphics).
