We will be starting a new club this fall. One question we are not sure of. If we have a 5 year old beginning in Level I discoverers, do they begin with Book A or Book C? We are a little confused. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Level 1 was designed a little differently than levels 2-4.  We recommend that you use the following books with the following ages:

Book A = 3 year olds - this book is very simplified with the Key Truth, one Question/Answer, and one Bible verse for each doctrinal theme.

Book B = 4 years - early 5 year olds (preschoolers not yet in Kindergarten) - In this book the child learns the Key Truth, four Questions/Answers, and one Bible verse for each doctrinal theme.  For those who need a little more there is an optional bonus Bible verse.

Book C - 5-eary 6 year olds (Kindergarteners or those not yet reading) - In this book the child learns the Key Truth, six Questions/Answers, and two Bible verses for each doctrinal theme.

Between Books B & C the 120 Questions and Answers are covered.  Book A contains one Question/Answer for each doctrinal theme that is in either book B or book C.  If a club decides to use one book with all children in level 1 we recommend that they rotate between books B & C every other year.
