    Kids4Truth Activities

We are putting into our ministry calendar several special activities for Kids4Truth. A skating event which the entire family is invited to participate, a Race Day again for the entire family, a one-night camp out for the boys, and a sleep-over party for the girls. Each of these activities will "cost" the kids some Depot Dollars to attend. They earn Depot Dollars each week for attendance, bringing their Bible, TruthBook, TruthStandard, and for quoting their truths for the week. We have a "store" they can go "shopping" in during Game Time if they choose. People in our church donate items to the Depot and we've asked community businesses to donate items as well.

If you have some other ideas for "Special Days", post it for the rest of us to see.

    Re: Kids4Truth Activities

Special promotions are a great way to boost excitement and interest in your Kids 4 Truth Clubs.

Promotions that have worked well for us are:

Pizza Party - If the club as a whole earns so many awards during a given time period the entire club will receive a pizza party.  We have worked with a local pizza restaurant who gives us a discounted price since we order ALOT of pizza at one time.

The Battle of the Levels - For an entire month we told the children about the Kids 4 Truth website highlighting a different aspect of the site each week.  Then we had a contest to see which K4T level could visit the most areas of the K4T website- children earned points by visiting the different areas of the website, doing the K4T daily devotionals, etc.  This is a great way to let parents know what is available on the Kids 4 Truth Website.  We gave the winning level special free coupons to an area restaurant.  (Sonic, McDonalds, Pizza Street, and Subway often times will give free coupons to churches.)

Small Group Challenge - One small group challenges another small group to see who can earn the most awards during a given time period.  The loser usually has to do something "yuckie" like eat baby food or the loser brings the winning team icecream, candy or cookies.

These are just a few ideas we have used.  Please feel free to add to this thread with your ideas.
