How Can I Use K4T For Outreach?

As I peruse the other children's clubs available, I find that many of them are somewhat "outreach based," and use alot of physical activities as a "hook" to get unchurched kids to the club.

How can I use the Kids 4 Truth Clubs as a tool for outreach in my community? Also, how can I reach the adults of those children that might attend our club program?

    Thank You!

    Yours Truly,

    Quincy Q.

Re: How Can I Use K4T For Outreach?

The thoughts on this original post are almost exactly what several parents expressed to me as we have been ramping up to begin K4T.

First, the reason we are so tight on K4T is that it will intentionally ground the kids that faithfully attend our ministry in Bible doctrine!

Second, I believe we can become "lazy" in our outreach at times by focusing on reaching kids to the neglect of reaching their parents. It's "easy" to bring a kid to a program at church. It's another story to get their parents to come to church. Don't misunderstand, we want to be reaching out to kids for sure, but we should be regularly reaching out to their parents as well!

Thirdly, by incorporating K4T Choir into our monthly schedule (every other week with Game Time being on the alternating weeks), we have scheduled our K4T Choir several times throughout the year to sing for the adults in the sanctuary. This will provide a wonderful opportunity for parents to invite other parents who do not attend our church, but their kids attend K4T, to come to church.

I'm excited about these opportunities as it will challenge all of us to reach out to parents more, and not just their kids!
