Translating Our Stuff

As the Kids 4 Truth ministry grows, there is an increasing amount of requests regarding translation of the curriculum into other languages. While we would love to make the curriculum available in as many languages as possible, we first want to ensure that our curriculum in the English language is truly worthy of translation! However, we are hoping to begin the translation process within the next six months, Lord willing. Here is a little insight of just what will be necessary in order to complete translation of the curriculum into French and Spanish, our first two targeted languages.

For each translated language we need the following: One translator to spearhead the translation work along with a team of four to five other people. The head and members of this of this group will not only need to have a grasp of the language with its different nuances, but they will also need to be of likeminded faith in order to accurately communicate the doctrines taught within the curriculum. While the coordinator of this group does not need to be a native of the language being translated, at least two of the members of this group should be. This philosophy of translation was first introduced to me by Dr. David Crandall, who serves as the Director of International Publications of the Answers in Genesis Ministry.

Pray that the Lord would provide direction, laborers, and the resources necessary to begin this project. In the months ahead, you can expect more details of how you can contribute in order to see this vision become a reality.

Our dynamations have been viewed by millions. Every day, thousands of people from all over the world view one or more of our dynamations. We praise the Lord for this exciting platform to communicate truth.

Since the beginning of our ministry, we looked to dynamations as the eye-candy "hook" that would bring in visitors. They are, in a sense, our outreach program! We’ve received thousands of emails from viewers that have been touched in one way or another from viewing these productions. Christians have been edified. The lost have been challenged.

Every dynamation costs between $6,500-9,000 to produce. Our goal is to produce at least six dynamations a year. Here are a few of the dynamations that are on deck:

One Man, One Woman, One GOD - a dynamation about the sanctity of marriage
Contact! - a dynamation about the doctrine of special revelation
God's Own Image - a dynamation that explores the truth about "early" man
The Fall! - a dynamation that shows our spiritual bankruptcy and absolute need for God to redeem us.

Children's Gospel Tract - $4,000

A good Gospel tract should contain biblical truth that is pride-smashing and God-exalting. A good Gospel tract should be simple yet complete. A good Gospel tract should be primarily about God in hopes that sinners will see their absolute need in light of God’s awesome holiness and beauty (see Isaiah 6).

This is Kids 4 Truth’s humble attempt at creating a good Gospel tract—the “Let’s Talk About God” children’s Gospel tract.

The tract contains 10 small panels, each one is about 4”x4”. When the tract is fully opened, it reveals a special “mini” poster. I am not releasing the poster for public viewing yet but I’ll describe it: inside is a timeline of Bible events (about 8”x20”) that give a bird’s eye view of redemptive history. The artwork is beautiful! (NOTE: If you’re prayerfully considering giving toward the completion of this project and you’d like to see the poster, please e-mail me and I’ll send you a PDF).

The idea of the poster is that children’s workers might use it in a counseling situation as a great “at-a-glance” teaching tool. Some tracts are designed to hand away. Some tracts are desgined to be counseling tools. This tract serves well in either capacity.

The tract will be printed on gloss “text” paper. The shape of the tract is similar to the popular “Why?” tract we did a few years ago after the 9/11 attacks. Several million “Why?” tracts were passed out all over the world in several different languages. I pray that God will use this new tract in a similar fashion. Christians need good, doctrinally-solid, complete, God-centered Gospel tracts—especially for kids!
