Children love to receive mail, but how often do they actually receive a card or letter addressed to them?  Imagine the excitement you will create in your club if you begin using postcards on a regular basis.

"Zebedee" and "Zeek" from the Kids 4 Truth website are now in print, appearing on our new line of postcards. Say "Good job!" or "We missed you!" in a memorable way with these colorful new postcards!  These postcards are regular size and can be mailed at the postcard rate (which is cheaper than the regular letter rate.J)

  • Meet Rob!

Rob the geek Rob is our Technical Lead.

Rob comes to us with experience in many areas including: sound guy for The Wilds for four summers, Network Engineer and computer teacher for Tri-City Ministries, “the tech guy” for a filtered internet company called Conserve-A-Net, and has worked for Planet Technologies as a consultant since April of 2000.  He holds a BS in Broadcast Engineering/Computer Science from Bob Jones University.  Rob volunteers his services to Kids 4 Truth, is a member of the Board of Directors, and he and his wife Julie are both members of the Executive Team.  He is responsible for the technical aspects of the ministry at Kids 4 Truth – primarily the web sites. He is supported by other developers and engineers who help keep the sites running. He also involved in the business and planning aspects of the ministry.

Please share with us your personal testimony: I was blessed to have grown up in a Christian home. When I was young, I accepted Christ as my Savior. I’ve been in Christian schools from grade school through college and have had the privilege of serving on the mission field in Mexico for two summers. When you consider my parents, teachers, various missionaries and others, I’ve been taught by, both formally and informally, some great men and women who love God and live it every day. By God’s grace, I hope to be that sort of testimony to those who I have contact with.

Tell us about your family: I’m getting ready to celebrate my 10th anniversary with my wife Julie and have two children that we’ve adopted from Guatemala. Erika is 2 and Matt is 1. I thank God for the blessing that my family is to me and feel privileged to be part of it. Sitting with Daddy

How long have you been a part of the Kids 4 Truth Team?  Since the Inception. Bob and I discussed the Creation Dynamation with Marie and launched the original Kids 4 Truth website together in May of 2000.

Why are you a part of the K4T Team?  That’s an interesting question… you ever hear of people who do what they do only because they can’t do anything else? I firmly believe that God has uniquely assembled this team and that, for each of us, there’s nothing else we could be doing.

What part of the K4T ministry is your favorite and why?  I enjoy working with our staff. I get to work with the staff on the planning and business aspects of the ministry and I am blessed by the people God has brought together. This team truly has a heart for ministry and constantly gives of themselves to meet the needs of the churches and individuals God allows us to come into contact with.

What K4T project have you enjoyed working on the most?  All of the websites… it’s a continuing project, and one that I don’t think we’ll ever completely finish

What K4T job would you NEVER want to do?  Customer Service – the job that Marrena, Sarah, Laura and Julie are involved in. It’s not that I don’t like people… well… J I do best with servers and lines of code.

If someone wanted to be in the ministry but did not know where God wanted them to minister, what advise or counsel would you give to them?  God needs smart people too. I often got frustrated while in college and high school hearing of people who wanted to be chemistry majors or doctors but “couldn’t hack it” and decided that God was using that to direct them to the preaching ministry. While I in no way want to question God’s working in the lives of others, I whole-heartedly reject the notion that the inability to do “hard” work is a sign of ministry suitability. Every ministry I’ve been involved with has desperately needed technicians, programmers, accountants, etc. – people who can do the “hard-thinking” even if they can’t necessarily stand up in front of a group of people and properly share doctrinal truth. Also, some of the best preachers I’ve been blessed to sit under have also been the most brilliant people I’ve known.

I’d also say, that God can use anyone who is willing… regardless of your skill set… I’m not a public speaker… I don’t have a masters in theology… however, God has allowed me to be used even as a simple computer programmer. If you look across the Kids 4 Truth staff, you’ll see a veritable plethora of skill sets… math majors, accountants, educators, English people (bleck!), programmers, etc. God uses people who are willing… He takes care of the rest. What do you like to do with your spare time? Write code – I know it is strange, but that’s what it is. Since I’m a volunteer and have a secular “full time job”, most of my spare time is spent with my family and/or Kids 4 Truth working

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. I’ve spent time as an adjunct member of a software development team at Microsoft.

Do you have a prayer request to share?  Continue to pray that God will give us wisdom as we lead the Kids 4 Truth ministry through these years of growth and expansion. God has been *so* good to us, and we covet His continued guidance and wisdom

What is your favorite Bible verse/passage?  Psalm 63:1 - O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.
